New Year's Resolutions for Shepherd's Bush

A tree is not a place to dump your old junk
We all need a few New Year's Resolutions, and Shepherd's Bush is no exception. Whether or not we stick to them, resolutions are a way of occasionally taking a good look at ourselves and seeing how we might improve things, just a little bit.  So here is our list of New Year's resolutions for Shepherd's Bush.

Resolution No 1 - Stop fly-tipping
The streets of Shepherd's Bush are not a dumping ground for your bin bags, fridges, and old mattresses. Find some place else to get rid of your old junk.

Resolution No 2 - Stop peeing in the street
If you need a pee, find a public loo (they do still exist) or go to McDonalds. Stop pissing in the street, when you think no-one is looking. They are, and they aren't impressed.

Resolution No 3 - Take your litter home with you - or find a bin
Shepherd's Bush Green may look like a giant litter bin but it really isn't. There are plenty of bins - why not use them? The Council may not bother to enforce its laws against littering - but that isn't a good reason to do it.

Resolution No 4 - Stop turning pubs into flats
Pubs all over West London are closing and being turned into flats. The economics of boozers are changing but it's clear that pubs that get it right, like the Princess Victoria on the Uxbridge Road, can still do great business.
